Are you ready to revise the "script" you have been running in your mind? The one that has been keeping you bound to a life of mediocrity?
To edit the "script" running in your mind you need to change the way you think, the way you act and the way you react to situations.
First you must recognize that most of your thinking is based on "old programming" that was forced upon you by others while you were growing up, as well as the negative programming that you encounter even to this day as an adult.
Bad things happen to everyone. These experiences makes us who we are today.
You need to understand and accept that challenging situations regardless of how bad they were or are, happen for a reason.
Nothing happens in life by accident. There are no such things as coincidences. I know that you might refuse to acknowledge the truth of what I am saying, that is your prerogative. You can choose to remain a victim and continue blaming others and your "circumstances" for your "miserable" life, or you can accept what happened as a learning experience instead of seeing it as an obstacle or roadblock and change your usual response towards it. Choose to rewrite the script and not react towards the situation as you usually would. Try being optimistic and positive regardless of the seemingly "terrible situation" you seem to assume it is.
When one of your "old programming chips" try to dictate the way you should do things or react to situations, stop and identify where the programming came from. Take a small cue card and write it down.
Example:
Old Programming: I was told by my dad that I was a follower.
New Programming: I am not a follower; I have a mind of my own. I might accept advice from people I respect but that does not make me a follower.
Old Programming: I was told by my mother that I would never make enough money to support my self because I was to lazy.
New Programming: I make a good living, I pay all my bills on time, and I am debt free. With my new found confidence I plan to double my salary in the not to distant future.
Use what you wrote as affirmations. Place them where you will see them everyday. Read them a few times during the day, particularly when you first awake and just before going to bed. Repeat these affirmations until they become a new belief not only in your mind or subconscious but a belief that is reproduced in your speech, your your mannerisms, your actions and your reactions.
This is a very effective way to reprogram your subconscious mind and erase your negative programming and rewrite the "script" in your mind.
